Designation of a student’s major area of study on the transcript is determined by his or her completion of published academic activity distribution requirements, as well as by the Major Qualifying Project. The authority and responsibility of certification of the disciplinary or interdisciplinary area will lie with the appropriate departmental or DIGS Program Review Committee (PRC) in consultation with the student and his or her academic advisor.
